What's falling apart and how can I help?

A lot of people I care about and I’m the one helping them.

My question was more to what you do when you’re just needing to put it all down for a bit. Doesn’t matter what, but I might punch the next city official I see, against my own better judgement.

Either that or drink myself blind.

Three options:
1-) Run away to a remote location with an inhospitable climate and do hard physical labor
2-) Have my telepathic, dominant, sadistic, girlfriend - who isn't here - shut my brain down, often with some kind of pain, but occasionally literally.
3-) Drink.

Less self-depreciating answer: I mostly don't. Pressure serves a purpose for me.

For you, I'd go with getting drunk, getting laid, and if those two don't let you sleep for a while looking for something - or someone - who can knock you out.

But if you want knocked out instead of hit, try talking to Jean - her id here is dayspring. Or heck, probably even if you do want hit.

Well if you go for pure 'beaten to hell', I recommend you make friends with Brandon Carver. He's pretty insane but he's good and has some control.

I think he'd be flattered and trusted than than most other methods of getting him to hit you, but you could always just try being a dick at him until he snaps.

I was recently 'possessed' by an entity who calls herself Phoenix. Fire and life incarnate. She takes the form, when not in a host, of a giant bird made of fire.

Her usual host is Jean.

My wife.

It's a long, complicated story but the short version is, ultimately, that I love her and she's not 'bad' - just not someone who should have ever been in my head, much less wholly in mine.

She isn't anymore.

She is still with Jean just fairly...tethered here.

and I'm not your opposite, but our similarities are a little alarming.

I was also possessed by what amounts to 'death incarnate' once, but that was less 'god' and more 'crazy mutant with a desire to start wars and an obsession with survival of the fittest. Him, we got an exorcist for.

At least she and Jean are managing at least? I’ve only been possessed once and it wasn’t a good time at all, I tried to kill my friends.

And also was responsible for what possessed me being there at all.

And chose to be the person who took over all of Phoenix instead of allowing her various parts to be driven into a different host.
