i've dealt with them a little back home. i was saying to kurt that i noticed both the ones back home and the ones here have a sort of superiority about them. so i can see why you might be concerned.

It isn't really the arrogance, it's the... privilege of their position, and their complete lack of awareness of it.

But yeah, superiority is a pretty good way of putting it.

yeah. kurt told me that. how the ones back home have turned their backs on us at times. on mutants, i mean. how they're loved while we're feared even though we protect people just as much. it hurts.

( he always thinks back to scott's reaction more to steve here becoming a dominant than being contracted to him. how he'd been all "of course he gets whatever he wants" about it, in a sense. he hadn't been able to see or understand what he meant by that back then, aside from taking it as being petty, but. he sees now. )
