The bad news is, he's at least as screwed up as you are. I can see exactly why he'd find someone who'd take him apart appealing and I barely know him. I truly believe that he wanted to save mutants and to make us be seen as... better, or useful, to humanity, rather than just a threat.

But the reason he sent me out initially and put me in a leadership position had nothing to do with any ability on my end. He was just trying to keep me from slitting my own throat.
