It isn't a problem.

I do. They were turned off briefly in the aftermath of an...incident, but otherwise as far as I can tell they're operating normally. I need to do something about that soon, actually.

No. The force beams are continually... produced by my body. The glasses or visor stops the discharge, not the production. They are incredibly powerful. I have methods of limiting them and still using them to varying degrees, but there are fewer opportunities here.
