"No off switch," he explained, almost absently. "The glasses contain the force, but it's still being produced." He took a bite of his sandwich, chewed and swallowed. "Just gets stuck in my head and keeps building until I blow it off."
Which fucking hurt. He was very, very used to it, though. "Nothing to worry about." As in: It wouldn't be a distraction and wasn't likely to kill him.
